The Reel Retreat, located on the north shore of the Trent River just north of Hastings, Ontario, Canada has excellent cottage accommodations and fishing for the avid angler.
During your stay you may wish to venture away from the water and see all that our beautiful area has to offer.
While visiting Peterborough County and the Kawarthas, you will enjoy some of the most tranquil natural scenery in Southern Ontario.
Close by are golf courses, craft and antique shops, art galleries, museums, auctions, Pioneer and Native Villages, saw mills, trail horseback riding, horse racing, slots, lift locks, bingo, dancing, fine restaurants, live theatre, concerts, scenic caves and many other tourist activities to enjoy.

All cottages are modern, clean, comfortable, spacious and fully equipped. They all have a view of the river and are spaced well apart. Each cottage is equipped with:

Available upon request (no charge) are: cast iron cookware for use on an open fire, cribs, highchairs, booster seats and playpens for indoor use. Please bring your own personal towels and beach blankets (are available for a nominal fee).
Also available on premises are: boat & motor rentals with life preservers supplied, boat launching, docking facilities up to 20', fish cleaning hut, live bait, complete tackle store, vacationer's store, ice, fish freezing (free), fishing & hunting licences. (more information on Fishing page)

During your stay, you can enjoy a variety of outdoor facilities at no extra charge: a safe sandy swim area, play area for children, horse-shoe pits, volleyball, basketball, campfire pits and firewood, picnic tables, paddleboat and canoe (for pleasure use - no fishing). Each cottage has its own propane BBQ and lawn chairs for kicking back and soaking in the sunshine and scenery.

Cottages are available weekly from Saturday 2:00 pm to Saturday 9:00 am and weekends (off season) from 2:00 pm day of arrival to 12:00 pm day of departure.
Extra persons: $20 per night or $60 per week with a maximum of 2 extra people per cottage. Please note that we have a no pets policy.
All reservations require a $300 deposit per week or 50% per weekend. Balance of account due upon arrival.
With six weeks notice of cancellation, deposits will be refunded, less a cancellation fee of $150.00. We reserve the right to re-let accommodations if reservations are not claimed by 3:30 pm, unless advance arrangements have been made with the management.
